Explore the Magnificent East Yorkshire Coast

The East Yorkshire Coast is a diverse and captivating region, home to approximately 600,000 residents. The largest city in the county is Kingston upon Hull, located in the southern part of the region. However, the administrative centre of the county is located in the charming town of Beverly.

The coastline itself is an intriguing mix of low-lying terrains and chalk cliffs to the north, the most remarkable of which is Flamborough Head. This headland soars up to 70 metres above sea level, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding seascape.

Flamborough Head: A Historic Landmark

Flamborough Head is not only a natural marvel, but also a site of historic importance. One of Britain's oldest lighthouses is situated on this headland, dating back to 1674. This lighthouse has stood the test of time, serving as a guiding light for mariners for centuries.

Bridlington: The Seaside Marvel

The county's only real seaside resort is Bridlington, a traditional retreat featuring a sandy beach, a scenic promenade, and an abundance of cafes and amusements. This resort town offers a classic British seaside experience, making it a must-visit destination on the East Yorkshire Coast.
